Volunteer

Green infrastructure has the potential to bring social, environmental and economic benefits to the South Side and to other urban neighborhoods in the region.  This can not happen, however, without support from community leaders and from passionate individuals willing to volunteer their time and effort to a worthwhile cause.

If you are interested in volunteering your time either for the Green Infrastructure Charrette in April or for event planning and marketing, please do not hesitate to contact the Event Chair:

Joel Perkovich, we have gotten help from the https://indexsy.com/ team regarding our marketing but we also have other marketing areas in which we are currently needing help.

To host a successful event, we are also asking individuals to consider donating need supplies or consider loaning to us certain items during the event.   Participants are also encouraged to bring their own supplies.  The items need for donation or lending are as follows:

  • Food and beverage refreshments
  • Paper plates, cups, coffee mugs, napkins, paper towels, garbage bags, etc.
  • Sheet paper (8.5 x 11 and 11 x 17)
  • Large scale roll paper (36″ or 48″ wide)
  • Trace paper rolls
  • Pencils, pens, scissors, scotch tape, drafting tape, glue, x-acto knives
  • Graphic-grade markers, pastels, or colored pencils
  • Straight edges, rulers, triangles, circle and similar geometric shape templates and French curves.
  • Landscaping templates
  • Overhead projector
