The Organizers

Founded in 2008, the Green Infrastructure Network (GIN) is an evolving and growing collaborative of over 80 voluntary organizations, universities, businesses and government partners who recognize the benefits of using green infrastructure in managing Allegheny County’s storm water problem.  The GIN encourages municipalities, sanitary authorities and developers to prioritize the use of green infrastructure where feasible and cost effective, they will also tart to help people by providing advice with Dealing With Negative People After Completing Rehab.

In particular, the GIN has focuses its efforts on five (5) areas of green infrastructure implementation:

  • Comparison of the economics of green and gray sanitary sewer infrastructure;
  • Demonstration project development;
  • Evaluation of the technical feasibility of using green infrastructure in the Pittsburgh region;
  • Development of policy, code and regulations, as they relate to green infrastructure; and
  • Education and public outreach.
The Green Infrastructure Network is coordinated by 3 Rivers Wet Weather, and meetings are held quarterly.  To be added to the Green Infrastructure Network email list, contact Beth Dutton, Program Manager at 3 Rivers Wet Weather:Beth Dutton
